The antique elegance of the Hill House is a perfect setting for Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Teas and Drop-ins. Christmas parties are especially beautiful with guests caroling around our Crystal Christmas Tree.

 Standing majestically in the Parlor, the ten-foot tall Crystal Christmas Tree is decorated with over 700 crystal glass ornaments. Dr. and Mrs. Hill have been collecting these special ornaments for more than 20 years. Dinners and parties in the Log Cabin also include a tour of the house to see the Crystal Tree.

Individuals interested in scheduling a party should call ahead.Christmas Open House is often held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons mid-November until Christmas. Watch for ads in the local papers and signs in front of the Hill House.

Birthday Parties

The Hill House is frequently the scene of special Birthday Celebrations. We can provide any number of options - from formal drop-in parties in the Big House to large sit-down occasions in the Pavilion. This Surprise 75th Birthday Party was a wonderful reunion for family & friends.

Breakfasts

Outdoor Breakfast or Brunch at the Hill House in the Spring can be a special treat. This tour group is enjoying an early morning Southern Breakfast. The buffet was served on the side porch of the Hill House with coffee and juice near their tables in the yard. Over 250 attended the occasion and many took pictures of their friends beside the lovely flowers that were in full bloom. Our new pavilion behind the Log Cabin can also host events like this.

Meetings

The Hill House is a delightful place to have special interest group meetings. A delightful group of Red Hat Ladies came for a visit. They had a typical Old English Tea in the "Big House". They enjoyed scones with lemon curd, tarts with clotted cream and a variety of other delicacies often served at a typical old English Tea.  A Happy Time was had by all!!

Reunions

Families large and small are welcome to have their Reunions or just family get-togethers at the Hill House. Our staff is ready to provide a feast fit for a king or a "Down-Home Barbecue" for any size group. Large groups are entertained outside on the spacious lawn or on our new Pavilion. The Log Cabin can seat groups from 20 to 65 guests inside.
